About the Character: Unlike Chandler, Joey resists joining the corporate rat race, in order to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. (Actually, he wants to be Al Pacino.) To date, besides a short-lived stint as a melodramatic soap opera doctor, one of the few highlights of his professional career was being cast as Al Pacino's butt double. Unfortunately, he was fired from the role for bringing too much to the part. Handsome, sweet and macho, Joey loves women, sports, women, New York, women--and most of all, Joey loves Joey. After years of traipsing from audition to audition, Joey has finally landed a role back on "Days of Our Lives" as a woman. It's not exactly the part he had hoped for, but Joey does his best, hoping to move onto bigger and better sound stages.

About the Actor:  Matt LeBlanc is set to make his mark on the big screen with a series of upcoming projects.

He can next been seen in the comedy film "All the Queen's Men." He stars as O'Rourke, the American leader of a British Special Services team charged with infiltrating the all-female Enigma factory in Berlin and retrieving an infamous coding device.

LeBlanc most recently appeared in the 2000 blockbuster motion picture "Charlie's Angels," an update of the 1970s television series of the same name. LeBlanc appeared opposite Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu as Jason Gibbons, a struggling actor and boyfriend to Liu's character, Alex. The film continues to set box office records worldwide.

In 1998, LeBlanc appeared opposite Gary Oldman as Major Don West in "Lost in Space," a retelling of the Robinson family's quest to find their way back to Earth after a mission in space goes awry. Prior to "Lost in Space," LeBlanc starred in the 1996 baseball comedy "Ed" and in 1993's "The Killing Box," opposite Martin Sheen and Corbin Bernsen.

A native of Newton, Massachusetts, LeBlanc graduated from Newton High School before moving to Hollywood in pursuit of a modeling and acting career. He currently lives in Los Angeles and is engaged to model Melissa McKnight. His birthday is July 25.
